Thank you for applying to perform in Moon Over Morocco! We appreciate the effort it takes to apply and to perform and we are grateful for your interest and involvement.

The Mission
The Mission of this festival is to preserve the authentic and original dance and music arts of the Middle East as well as to promote study, research and creative work in the evolvement of Middle Eastern music and dance. To present powerful and compelling dance performances which raise awareness, appreciation and support for the Middle Eastern art, culture and life. And finally, to explore and discover ways in which we can interact with each other, local communities the world in order to raise awareness and appreciation for the Middle East, and so promote peace through music and dance.

Who is invited to perform?
Soloists, duets, and ensembles presenting all styles of belly dance and Middle Eastern dance: Cabaret (all styles), Tribal Fusion, American Tribal Style, Regional dances from North Africa, the Near East and Central Asia, Greece and the Balkans.

Dancers: We strive to present the broadest spectrum of belly dance styles including American cabaret, Egyptian cabaret, Turkish cabaret, American Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion, folkloric and regional styles of belly dance and Middle Eastern dance. In an effort to accomodate all styles, the times allotted for dancers is as follows:

Cabaret Soloists - 10 minutes
Tribal Soloists - 5 minutes
Duets Trios, Ensembles - 15 minutes

Dancer Fee
There is a $5 fee for all dancers. Ensembles of 4 + pay a maximum of $20.00.

Videography
Only our videographer may record the performances. Anyone found filming without permission will be asked to stop. This protects the performers who do not wish to be filmed. If you would like to have our videographer record your performance, please indicate your preference at the form below.
