Tour Information and Itinerary
This is a seven-day belly dance retreat in the beautiful tropical resort village of Tulum on the Mexican Riviera (Yucatan). You will stay in the pristine beachside resort, Maya Tulum, (www.mayatulum.com), eat delicious, organic food, drink tropical drinks, snorkel, spa, explore and take five days of intensive belly dance classes ending with a spectacular show on the final night!
Classes & Show
The dance classes will include Gypsy and Cabaret with Alexandra King and Judeen, culminating in a show on Friday night for the guests of the resort. Tour dancers are invited to solo as well as present the dances learned during the week and Alexandra and Judeen will be featured in the conclusion of the program.
Maya Tulum
This exquisite five-star resort offers immaculate rooms, delicious organic food and a stunningly beautiful beach on the crystal clear Caribbean ocean.
The group size will be between fifteen and twenty-five people. You can choose a single, double or triple occupancy room. Many rooms are beachfront, or, have beach views and are steps away from the beach. Room service is available. All cabañas and rooms have hot water, electricity and fans. There is a buffet for breakfast and table seating for lunch and dinner. The resort offers shopping and yoga classes.
Diving or snorkeling excursions are easy to line-up to nearby cenotes (caverns and sink-holes filled with cool, crystal water which riddle the soft limestone peninsula and make for a memorable swimming or diving experience!), or to the ocean. Other added pleasures include Mayan Healing Massage, Yoga or Dream Yoga, (Meditation and magic). If all you want to do is sunbathe, swim and drink tropical drinks, (and, of course, dance), this is the right place! Recommended reading, “Yucatan: The Lonely Planet”.
