About Alexandra King

Alexandra King is the founder and director of Seher Middle Eastern Dance Ensemble, the official dance ensemble for the UCSB Middle East Ensemble, Director, Dr. Scott Marcus. She has been dancing since the age of ten and has studied

Multiple styles of dance including ballet, belly dance, flamenco, Polynesian dance, Bharata Natyam (classical East Indian dance) various styles of folk dance and a number of modern social dances such as Hip Hop, Swing and ballroom dance. She has won a number of awards for as a dancer and instructor. She works as the Artistic Director of the UCSB Middle East Dance Ensemble and travels throughout the US, Canada and the world teaching and performing.

About Judeen

Judeen is a multi award winning dancer, teacher and costumer.
Throughout the 90s she studied Raks Sharqui , Saidi, Nubian , Gahwaze, and other ethnic dances in Egypt.

Since 1999, she has been traveling to turkey, studying roman (gypsy), abdal, and Turkish oriental.

With over 30 years of studying, traveling, performing and teaching, Judeen brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to this ever changing art form.
