Turkish Karsilama (Roman/Gypsy) Style Belly Dance
Karsilama: The Turkish Gypsy style that the American Cabaret is built on! This style contributed to the development of the American Cabaret style of belly dance, and is the earliest form of belly dance fusion.

INTRODUCTION TO TRIBAL BELLY DANCE
Based on traditional cabaret styles, folkloric dances of North Africa as well as stylistic influences from the Spanish dances and Indian dance, Tribal belly dance is a communal, largely improvised style which can be choreographed or improvised. The technique employs simple steps, movements and gestures in a repetitive fashion, building on the music and the interaction between the dancers.
