Cost: $200.00/hr., minimum 1 hour, + studio rental and travel expenses.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% required at time of booking. Cash only, in person - sorry, no checks credit cards or money orders.
Wedding Dance for Couples!
Have a choreography made just for your special day!
Choreography is $100.00/per minute of a dance to be choreographed and $100.00/hour for instruction. Studio rental is extra and the rental costs are generally $35.00/hr. for most SB studios.
Soloists
Belly Dancers will provide a spectacular show at your event! Soloists and group dances may include Fire Dances, Sword, Cane/Stick or a complete cabaret set (10-20 minutes per set) with these included.
These soloists are some of Santa Barbara's top professional dancers. They use recorded music, but, can work with live musicians, for an extra fee. Performance sets last from 10 minutes and beyond, depending on your needs, budget and their fees. Fees cover preparation for the event, travel time and the performance itself. They work in the Santa Barbara, Ventura and LA counties, but can work outside this radius with advance booking, (costs apply depending on the distance they would have to drive). The dancers are also able to teach on site (costs may apply).
Information about Belly Dance Soloists:
$350.00/one set, the dancer will be there for up to an hour.
$450.00/two sets, the dancer will be there for up to *two hours.
Availability and time length may vary depending on prior of future commitments of the artist(s).

Ensembles
The Alexandra King Ensemble (UCSB Middle East Ensemble) repertoire includes all styles of Belly Dance, (Tribal, Cabaret, Gypsy and World Fusion styles), as well as Fire Dances, Veil, Sword and Stick dances. We work as Soloists, Duets, Trios and more. The fee covers the cost of rehearsals, preparation (costuming, make-up etc.), travel to and from, time at the event and the performance.
Information about Ensemble Shows
Length of Shows: Ensemble shows are generally at a show for up to 2 hours, unless other arrangements are made.
What the Dancers Need to Perform: Enough space, a safe level floor (no grass or gravel) and a secure dressing room near the performance area. We bring our own rack, mirrors and sound system.
Costs:
Soloists: $400.00
Ensemble Dancers: $200.00/per dancer.
Travel, Rehearsal and Director Expense: $300.00/Flat rate for a basic 2 hour show.
Shows involving Specialty Choreography (the cost of a special request (dance made for the client):
Choreography $200.00/per minute for the music chosen for a specialty dance(s).
Studio Rent for rehearsal Time: $35/00/hour.
Director Fee is $100.00/hour.
Dancer Rehearsal time: $50/hour per dancer, plus the fee for performing (see costs above).

Fees are based on performances within Santa Barbara, Ventura and LA cities and counties.

Travel expenses (lodging, meals and transportation) outside of SB, Ventura and LA counties are in addition to the base prices listed above. Beyond the radius of these cities/counties, the price will increase to $100.00/per hour or any part thereof per dancer plus the cost of travel including meals, fuel and lodging.

A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit goes towards the total fee and is returned if the artist(s), or an acceptable substitute(s) cannot fulfill the contract. It is non-refundable if the show is cancelled within three days of the event by the customer. Payment for the balance, including overtime, is due at the time of the event in cash or check.
